Free Recycling Through the Mail

Nice offer from USPS. Now, they only need to figure out a way to handle all the Netflix envelopes.

Free and green. Those are the goals of a pilot program launched today by the U.S. Postal Service that allows customers to recycle small electronics and inkjet cartridges by mailing them free of charge.

The “Mail Back” program helps consumers make more environmentally friendly choices, making it easier for customers to discard used or obsolete small electronics in an environmentally responsible way. Customers use free envelopes found in 1,500 Post Offices to mail back inkjet cartridges, PDAs, Blackberries, digital cameras, iPods and MP3 players – without having to pay for postage.

Future

The future does not belong to those who are content with today, apathetic toward common problems and their fellow man alike. Rather it will belong to those who can blend vision, reason and courage in a personal commitment to the ideals and great enterprises of American society.

Hindustan Kalari Sangam

One of the things I enjoyed most with my recent trip to India was a visit to Hindustan Kalari Sangam.

Hindustan Kalari Sangam, is a traditional Kalarippayattu school established during the year of 1950, under the patronage of Guru Veerasree Sami Gurukkal. From the inception of the center, the school has been recognized for its valuable service in the field of Kalarippayattu and Ayurveda healing.

Hindustan Kalari Sangam also functions as a resource centre for learners from other parts of the world who are interested in Ancient Indian Scientific Heritage, Indian culture, and Aesthetics.

I happened to visit the center solely for the purpose of the ‘Kalari Massage’. Highly recommended if you visit Kerala, India.
