Sycamore BYOB in Lansdowne

A new restaurant is coming to Lansdowne. Per the website, the restaurant will be called Sycamore and appears to be a perfect addition to the Lansdowne main street at 14 S. Lansdowne Avenue.

Sycamore will offer artisanal cheeses, charcuterie, soups, salads, and creative appetizers and main dishes with a local, seasonal emphasis.

We’re a BYO, but that won’t stop us from creating some of the best and freshest mixers around. We encourage you to walk in with any kind of liquor (Whiskey, Gin, Tequila, Vodka, Bourbon, etc) and find innovative and classic cocktail mixers featuring fresh squeezed fruit juices, and lovely accoutrement.

Speaking of Lansdowne, have you tried out Cinema 16:9 yet?

Cinema 16:9

If you’ve driven by Lansdowne recently you may have noticed new green awnings show up near the Lansdowne Theater. On the right hand side of the theater is the new location for the Regency Cafe. On the left hand side is a place called Cinema 16:9.

You have to read a post titled ‘One Month Later‘ by David Titus, entrepreneur behind the Cinema 16:9 location, to see the passion that’s gone into bringing a unique movie experience to Lansdowne. If the Cinema 16:9 blogs are any sign of good things, Lansdowne residents have a lot to look forward to in the next few months.

I wonder if George Dougherty, who runs Javaflix in West Philadelphia, would consider running something similar at Cinema 16:9.
